Fitness Fifty Plus
Although I have worked with all ages, my special interest has always been in helping the over 50s. Gaining an OCR Pilates qualification really helped me to reach out to this diverse age group.
I have gone on to develop my own style of Functional Training which draws on a range of fitness methods and 20 years’ experience of what works.
I recently completed a course with the Functional Aging Institute, qualifying as a Functional Aging Specialist, and have continued to develop my understanding of the type of exercise needed to enable people aged 50 plus to stay fit and active, to feel well and to look their best!
In 2008, I qualified as a graduate Acupuncturist from the College of Integrated Chinese Medicine in Reading and I have completed a Level 5 Diploma in Sports and Remedial Massage at the Oxford School of Sports Massage. Gaining these qualifications has broadened my knowledge of how the body works and has enabled me to be a more thoughtful exercise specialist.
