I group people according to their functional fitness levels and not their age. There is also a social element to exercising in a group, which most people enjoy.

Exercising in small groups allows people to receive more attention and to gain extra benefit.
Instead of being ‘lost’ in a large class setting, I am able to keep a close watch on group members, identifying and correcting any poor technique.
I can also make sure that you’re exercising at the right level for you. This makes your exercise more effective and time efficient. There is also a social element to exercising in a group, which most people enjoy.
The type of Group Exercise offered is varied and an initial assessment will identify the right group for you. Small group training ranges from gentle mat based Pilates through to higher intensity fitness sessions. Some classes put more focus on a particular component of fitness, such as balance or co-ordination and agility.
Although Pilates exercise is beneficial, my aim is to eventually get people on to their feet and moving. This is what improves functional fitness the most.
I group people according to their functional fitness levels and not their age. If you’re not ready for Group Exercise, I will advise you accordingly.
People often benefit from some initial Personal Training and this is often the ‘stepping stone’ to the Small Group Exercise sessions. This will ensure that you have reached an adequate level of Functional Fitness to allow you to be safe and to gain maximum benefit from a Small Group setting, while exercising with others of a similar ability.
